This is a development release leading towards the 2.54 series.

What’s new in WPE WebKit 2.53.91?

  • Enable paint damage propagation by default.
  • Handle video orientation in the Skia compositor.
  • Do not use cached credentials when the Authorization header is present.
  • Fix scrollbar rendering issues due to incorrect damage tracking.
  • Add logging fallback to the standard error output when journald is not reachable.
  • Require Ninja for building. Using the CMake Makefile generator is no longer supported.
  • Fix the build with CMake 4.4 or newer.
  • Fix several crashes and rendering issues.
